Geelong Paediatric Group

Appointments with our paediatricians are by referral only: we must receive a valid and detailed referral letter from your family doctor before we can arrange an appointment for your child. GP referrals to our paediatricians will need to be renewed every 12 months, this helps the Doctors to maintain a ‘team approach’ for your child’s health.

If you are unsure whether your child has a current referral, please phone our friendly administration team as they will be able to advise you if a new referral is required.

Masks are no longer required at Geelong Paediatric Group, however they are recommended, especially if you or your loved ones are vulnerable. We kindly request that if you or someone in your home is unwell to please call reception on 5222 2222 to discuss this, as your appointment could be converted to telehealth if appropriate.

Telehealth Appointments

Your paedaitrician may suggest from time to time that your Childs appointment be conducted via a video link. This is called telehealth and we use a department of health verified system to make these calls. They can be conducted from any device with a camera (smart phone, tablet, computer).

Please note that it is a Medicare requirement that the patient (your child) be in attendance at all appointment/s (including telehealth), if the patient is not present Medicare may not provide a rebate for the consult.
